On August, 25 AsstrA took part at the International Conference “The Transit Potential of Kazakhstan”, Aktau, organized by «KAZLOGISTICS».
The event was attended by representatives of Kazakh ministries and departments, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the railway administrations of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Iran, and Lithuania, and by representatives of logistics and transport companies.
The participants discussed the potential of Kazakhstan as a transit country, and also the main challenges that have to be overcomed in order to create an efficient logistics in the countries of the Caspian and Black Sea regions. Various views and information on the prospects for the formation of new competitive transport routes were exchanged.
Representatives from AsstrA at the conference were Frank Muller and Sergei Omelyanyuk. Frank Muller made a presentation on the topic “Effective logistics routes of transit goods transportation from the EU and the CU countries through Iran to the Persian Gulf ports”.
On a discussion were considered such queries as: “The development of Eurasian transcontinental international transport routes. Pairing program “Nurly Zhol” and “Economic Belt – Silk Road” as a part of Eurasian economic integration “. The participants discussed the issues of improving the efficiency of multimodal transport routes. The issues included the Caspian and Black Seas, TMTM development, management in the reforming conditions, cargo transportation via Aktau port and others.
