In September 2016, the AsstrA Deutschland office successfully passed the certification in the electronic system IATA CASS for settlements between air companies and freight forwarders. The process of obtaining this certification has increased our competence as a freight forwarder in the airfreight.
This certification gives us the right to cooperate directly (with no agents, by simply indicating our accreditation number) with any aviacompany that offers flights to/from Germany. IATA (The International Air Transport Association) was founded in 1945 in Havana as a successor to the International Air Traffic Association, which was formed in 1919 in the Hague, Netherlands.
The aim of IATA is to represent, manage, and maintain the airline industry. IATA is focused on ensuring flights’ safety, technical maintenance, creating tariffs and creating international standards, solving legal, medical, and financial issues, organizing settlements between the actorsof air transport. A special IATA Clearing Chamber was created specifically for this. In addition, IATA is an information bank for the airlines. IATA helps airlines work together and solve issues that they would be unable to solve individually.
