After a forced hiatus due to the Covid-19 crisis, the highly anticipated 22nd edition of SIL Barcelona was held from May 31 to June 2 2022. The event drew a wide range of supply chain professionals from Europe, Africa, America, Asia, and Oceania. AsstrA debuted as an exhibitor and held a series of networking discussions focused on the Spanish market.
The leading logistics, transport, intralogistics, and supply chain event in Southern Europe attracted more than 12,000 industry representatives from 81 countries for three days of intense networking, knowledge sharing, and innovation. 314 speakers delivered presentations on trending issues like digitization and sustainable development in this key economic sector.
“AsstrA entered the Iberian market to better serve growing local demand for industrial project logistics, FCL, FTL, air freight, and express deliveries. Participating in this year’s SIL Barcelona gave us a great chance to explore new business opportunities, touch base with existing partners, and spread the word about our comprehensive range of logistics solutions. I consider our debut a success. The stand was prepared with attention to every detail. I think that next year we can boldly think about booking more exhibition space,” says Volker Schoeffel, Branch Manager at AsstrA Forwarding Spain.
“Recently, we have been expanding our geographical presence to new European markets every year. Developing our sea and air transport services and strengthening our position in the road transport market are key aspects of our strategy. Therefore we decided to open offices in the main Spanish logistics centers of Madrid and Valencia. The Iberian Peninsula is located at the intersection of the Mediterranean and Atlantic transport corridors, so our branch there will be ideally positioned to serve customers from Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East,” adds Andrzej Iwanow-Kołakowski, AsstrA EU Regional Director.
“Fairs are unique opportunities for us to get closer to our customers. They are also occasions for us to strengthen our team spirit. Each of us should understand the importance of working together to achieve business goals,” emphasizes Natalia Eremenco, Sales and Marketing Director at AsstrA.
“SIL is an interesting event bringing together logistics market players from Spain, the Mediterranean region, and Latin America. A wide range of diversified supply chain offerings are on display. This year's edition focused on transport services and telematics,” says Vladislav Lagun, Chief Commercial Officer at AsstrA.
“Organizing participation in international fairs can be quite a challenge, but in this case everything went smoothly with the event organizers and the company we contracted to design and build our stand. Compared to the other exhibitors, I am proud to say that our stand stood out nicely. Participation in such events is a valuable way for us to strengthen our image and meet our commercial goals,” sums up Kamila Rynkiewicz, Senior Marketing Specialist at AsstrA.
