From September 24 to September 27 of this year, the Polish city of Gdansk became the world capital of railway transport and transport technologies. The 13th International TRAKO Railway Exhibition was held at the Amberexpo Exhibition Center. This event is Poland's largest related to the rail rolling stock market.
The TRAKO Railway Exhibition is a meeting place for professionals from all over the world. The goal is the exchange of experiences in the field of modern railway market achievements, products, and solutions. TRAKO is a business platform for establishing business relationships and obtaining news about the railway industry.
“The current state of transport systems and railway infrastructure in Poland, Europe, and the world was presented at TRAKO. Achievements and innovations were presented by 700 exhibitors from 30 countries. As in previous years, being able to see the latest rail rolling stock has become an integral part of the exhibition.
This year, trams were introduced by Stadler, PESA, and Modertrans. As a ‘highlight,’ one of the oldest tram trains in Poland was exhibited. The tram has a retro Bergische Stahlindustrie carriage with a Carl Weye wagon and belonged to MPK Poznań, Poznań’s municipal transport company.
PKP Intercity, PESA, Bombardier Transportation, NEWAG, and Stadler introduced locomotives and passenger cars. In addition, various types of rail vehicles, rail carts, and maintenance and repair machines were presented,” says Ewa Trochimiuk, Head of the EU Rail Freight Division AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG.
TRAKO is a place to promote AsstrA services to a wide range of Customers. During the exhibition’s 4 days, the AsstrA team met potential Partners, railway company representatives, and Clients. As a result of the meetings, AsstrA specialists strengthened relations with existing Partners and learned the needs of future Clients. The AsstrA Corporate Group is constantly expanding its product portfolio in accordance with the requirements of Customers.
The team of the dedicated AsstrA Transport Manufacturing Logistics department regularly attends industry exhibitions. The main goal is to meet Partners as well as to network with other players in the transport manufacturing industry.
“At industry-focused events like TRAKO, the AsstrA team gets to know Partners’ offerings up close. The corporate group is constantly growing and expanding our range of products and services for Customers. Participation in such exhibitions allows us to present our new services and trade lanes,” says Ilya Klimentenok, Head of the AsstrA Transport Manufacturing Logistics Division.
“AsstrA experts held meetings with manufacturers of rail vehicles and components. The business environment was comfortable and perfect for discussing current cooperation, strengthening existing agreements, and developing partnerships and strategic plans.
We thank the organizers of the exhibition for the event. We are planning a visit TRAKO again in 2021, perhaps with our own booth,” says Ilya Klimentenok.
