On September 1, 2019, Angels' Wings invited Minsk residents and visitors to celebrate running, a healthy lifestyle, and charity. The AsstrA Running Team proudly participated in this philanthropic event.
Angels' Wings is a Belarusian non-profit organization that helps children with severe disabilities participate in runs with the help of long-distance runners and other sports enthusiasts. The grown-up “Wings” help the young “Angels” cover many kilometers using special athletic wheelchairs.
As noted by Sergey Krashevsky, Head of Application Administration at the AsstrA corporate group, the run is another great event that draws attention to a worthy cause.
“This was my first time to participate in this race. I was surprised by the number of runners. The route ran through a picturesque city park. The goal of the race is to raise funds for the disabled participants themselves. The proceeds will go towards organizing outings for people with severe disabilities. Specifically, the money will help a sports club for disabled children and their parents rent a minibus to help them stay active during the cold season.
In such races, parents and children gain confidence and take a well-deserved break. I am glad that the AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG international corporate group takes part in such events."
