For clients, a logistics company’s membership in professional associations indicates reliability and an ability to provide services of international quality standards. As AsstrA’s global coverage expands, the corporate group continues to join new associations. In July 2020, AsstrA joined the British International Freight Association, or BIFA.

BIFA members are transport and logistics companies registered in the UK. The association’s list of accredited members includes one and a half thousand members who serve traffic flows to / from the United Kingdom. BIFA is also part of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations, or FIATA, which covers 150 countries.

The British International Freight Forwarders Association welcomes members from the UK and beyond. BIFA supports new players on the British transportation market and students who have chosen to pursue a career in logistics.

To ensure that member companies continue providing services of global-standard quality, the international association’s aims is to train industry players on the specifics involved with the transportation of dangerous goods, customs procedures used in international trade, etc.

“Joining BIFA has been a priority for AsstrA’s London branch since it opened in May 2020. Every professional freight forwarder in the United Kingdom must follow the association's rules. By fulfilling these conditions, they ensure that the quality of transport and logistics services are standardized across the country,” says Anna Smirnova, UK Head of AsstrA Industrial Project Logistics.
