Face-to-face networking remains 3PL logistics providers’ favorite way to build effective working relationships. International and regional industry events serve as excellent platforms for establishing new partnerships, strengthening new ones, and understanding what customers need to win in their specific markets.
To this end, from August 16-18, 2022, several members of the AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG corporate group’s Shanghai team attended the Global International Railway Transportation Enterprise Development Summit and The “Belt and Road” China-EU Train Forum in Nanjing, China.
“Our primary goal at the 11th Global International Railway Transportation Enterprise Development Summit was to meet customers and partners. By the end of the first day, we had already successfully expanded our network of contacts and direct suppliers. We agreed to begin working with platform operators Mianyang and Wuwei. We also began talks with some promising suppliers on both the China-Kazakhstan/Central Asia/EU rail trade lane and the China-US maritime trade lane. We also kicked off relationships with potential clients that will open up new development opportunities for us, especially on eastern routes of speed container trains. We were quite satisfied with our results from these three days. We will continue to strengthen the relationships we kicked off and deliver on what we discussed,” says Natalia Shmanevskaya, Director of the AsstrA Branch in Shanghai.
According to Sun Jun, China Region Country Sales Manager, “The Chinese market is one of the fastest growing in the world today. Through participation in regional industry events like this one, we continue to expand our professional network and serve new routes and destinations. The organization and scale of this particular event were quite impressive, even though the original dates had to be postponed.”
