In an era increasingly globalized trade, many businesses seek to expand their geographic footprint and import products from around the world. Doing so often involves challenges navigating customs procedures, tariffs, logistics, and linguistic differences. Kazakh importers of goods from Europe often face such challenges.
In January, a client asked AsstrA Kazakhstan’s team of experts to organize delivery – requiring a comprehensive logistics solution – of lighting equipment from Germany to Kazakhstan.
“Although the client made repeated changes to the amount and scope of the cargo, the AsstrA team effectively planned and arranged delivery of the lighting equipment. Our specialists swiftly updated rates and identified the best transport scheme. The cargo was shipped via Turkey on a combined transit route. After acceptance in Germany and delivery to warehouse in Istanbul, the cargo was transshipped for air transport to Kazakhstan and subsequently placed in a temporary storage warehouse at the airport in Almaty,” Angelina Chesnokova, AsstrA Senior Foreign Trade Specialist, says.
One of the key success factors in this project was professionally handled customs clearance. Thanks to clear coordination and effective teamwork amongst the AsstrA team and its trusted partners, the on-time delivery of the lighting equipment won the client’s trust and future business regarding further deliveries.
