AsstrA organized a course on decarbonization

21.10.2024

On the 8th of October 2024  AsstrA organized a European Overland Logistics Decarbonization course, during which experts discussed the future of transportation. The event gathered current and potential clients of the company as well as industry experts, who discussed the latest challenges related to reducing emissions in land transport. The course, divided into six thematic blocks, covered topics such as green logistics in Europe, e-mobility and its development, alternative fuels, intermodal solutions, decarbonization and law, as well as decarbonization in land transport.

Representatives from AsstrA, along with invited guests from companies such as Renault Trucks, PZPM, Pire, Unimot Poland, and GreenRouter Italy, participated in the event, presenting their experiences and innovative approaches to sustainability in logistics. Thanks to a broad range of speakers, the event had an interdisciplinary character, allowing participants to gain a comprehensive view of the topic of decarbonization.

Jean-Philippe Kretz, Solutions Sales Director at Renault Trucks, highlighted the professionalism in organizing the course: “A very good event, very professional, warm, and well organized. I really believe it opened-up many minds regarding the urgency and the solutions to address decarbonation of logistics. It gave a good overview of the context and was precise enough about the solutions.”

The idea for the course arose four months earlier. As Dmitri Krõlov, Sustainable Development Manager at AsstrA, explained, the initiative aimed to gather the company’s partners and clients to discuss key issues related to decarbonization and CO2e emissions reporting. “From the very beginning, I assumed that the course should cover the most important aspects of land transport decarbonization in Europe, while also being educational. The event enabled the exchange of experiences, the presentation of the current situation, and the building of a network of contacts. I believe that such courses, organized regularly, could provide a valuable space for discussing the rapidly changing challenges of sustainable transport,” noted Dmitri Krõlov.

The event not only provided participants with practical knowledge about decarbonization but also created a space for dialogue and experience sharing between experts and company representatives. AsstrA plans to continue this initiative to regularly provide the industry with knowledge and tools for effectively reducing emissions and building the green logistics of the future.
