International transport and logistics company AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG has successfully completed transportation of three white car bodies from China to Slovenia. The multimodal shipment which crossed multiple countries, was meticulously planned and coordinated by AsstrA’s logistics experts to ensure timely and secure delivery.
The transportation process involved 3 main stages:
- Road shipment: the first leg of the journey was within China — from Shanghai to Suzhou, covering approximately 110 km.
- Rail delivery: the largest portion of the journey, over 8000 km, was completed by train — from Suzhou, China to Budapest, Hungary.
- Road transportation: The final 500 km stretch from Budapest to Novo Mesto, Slovenia, was completed by truck.
To reduce costs for the client, the AsstrA chose LCL (Less-than-Container Load) option instead of FCL (Full Container Load) shipment. This strategic decision helped the client save $3,000.
“For international LCL shipments, cargo must be properly boxed or palletized. Unfortunately, the cargo was packaged by the shipper in a condition not suitable for transport. Thanks to the professionalism of the AsstrA team, we resolved the issue quickly. The freight was shipped in compliance with all packaging standards”, — shared Chentao Zhang, Business Development Manager at AsstrA.
With 30 years of experience in the logistics market, the Swiss group of companies AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG efficiently organizes transportation between China and other countries, ensuring uninterrupted deliveries and the most cost-effective solutions for its clients.
