The Swiss group of companies, AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG, recently completed a transport operation within China, moving over 350 tons of cargo from Luoyang to Shanghai—a distance of approximately 1,000 kilometers. This delivery was finalized in early 2025 under Free on Board (FOB) terms, ensuring the cargo was safely handed over at the designated point of shipment.
The shipment consisted of specialized equipment for an overhead stacking crane—a component used in industrial operations that require precise handling and placement of heavy loads.
“Overall, the transportation proceeded smoothly without any major issues. However, the AsstrA team encountered a notable challenge upon arrival at the port: the cargo’s packaging had been compromised during transit. Thanks to the expertise and quick response of the AsstrA logistics professionals, the team successfully managed to repackage and secure the cargo, restoring it to a suitable condition for continued transport,” shared Chentao Zhang, Business Development Manager at AsstrA.
This project not only demonstrates AsstrA’s strong logistical capabilities in handling heavy and complex cargo but also underscores its ability to adapt and overcome unforeseen challenges during transportation.
