Key Project Details
When production launch timelines are critical and cargo requires careful, direct delivery, the reliability of the logistics partner becomes paramount. This was precisely the challenge presented by the customer to the AsstrA expert team: to organize a project-based delivery of oil extraction equipment from Italy to Ukraine. The key requirement was to ensure transportation without transshipment and strictly within the specified timeframe.
As part of the project, the equipment was distributed across 13 specialized trucks, carefully selected based on weight, dimensions and the no-transshipment requirement.
During route planning, road construction in Italy posed a significant challenge, limiting the movement of heavy vehicles. The transport schedule was coordinated in advance, and the team received an up-to-date movement window schedule one week before loading. Loading typically took place on Thursday or Friday, with departure scheduled for Saturday morning under police escort.
“In project logistics, it's not just about delivering the cargo – it’s about maintaining control over every stage of the process. This approach minimizes risks for the customer, from loading delays to complications at the border. In this project, we focused on clear coordination between all parties involved – carriers, government authorities and the customer. This ensured seamless execution of the entire supply chain,” says Viktoriya Lukyanets, IPL Specialist, Ukraine Division.
