As part of its strategic development plan for Central Asia, Dmitry Lagun, CEO of the international logistics group AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG, completed a business visit to Atyrau and Astana. The visit reinforces AsstrA’s commitment to strengthening its presence in Kazakhstan’s oil, gas, and chemical industries and expanding its project logistics services in the region.
During the visit, Dmitry Lagun held meetings with industry representatives to discuss logistics support for capital investment projects, including the transportation of heavy and oversized cargo, metal structures, and equipment. Particular focus was placed on delivery timelines, cost efficiency, and industry-specific requirements.
In Astana, the AsstrA team took part in the China – Central Asia Business Council, where discussions focused on the prospects of international transit, investment partnerships, and regional logistics integration.
In Atyrau, AsstrA and TransCaspian Cargo agreed to launch a joint training program on project logistics. The initiative is aimed at developing the practical skills of industry professionals and enhancing their qualifications. One of AsstrA’s key priorities in Kazakhstan remains the development of logistics competencies as a strategic foundation for strengthening the country’s competitiveness in international trade.
“We are proud of AsstrA’s role in supporting the logistics infrastructure of Kazakhstan’s core industries. Our experienced team ensures reliable, on-time deliveries and develops flexible, tailor-made solutions to meet evolving market needs,” said Dmitry Lagun.
In a market environment defined by rate instability and high volatility, flexibility has become a decisive competitive advantage. AsstrA continues to adapt its service models by offering optimized routes, smart delivery schemes, and seamless coordination throughout the entire supply chain. In Astana, additional discussions focused on infrastructure development, service localization, and the company’s involvement in Kazakhstan’s strategic national initiatives.
AsstrA aims to become the number one logistics partner for oil, gas, and chemical companies in Kazakhstan not just by providing transportation services, but by offering deep industry expertise, customized logistics solutions, and comprehensive risk management.
