The first dry port in Georgia, Tbilisi Dry Port, opens up new opportunities for multimodal logistics along the China – Caucasus – Europe corridor. For AsstrA, participating in the opening ceremony was not only a mark of recognition from partners but also an opportunity to be among the first to assess the potential of this new logistics hub.
AsstrA Georgia was represented at the event by Director of AsstrA Georgia Larisa Mevkh and Head of Central Asia & Caucasus Container Division Elena Vasilyeva. In the first weeks after the port's launch, AsstrA experts began integrating its capabilities into logistics solutions for customers.
"For us, participating in the opening of the Tbilisi Dry Port is not just a symbolic step. It is confirmation of Georgia's role as a key logistics hub in the region. The new port provides real opportunities for the development of multimodal routes and the improvement of customer services in the direction of the Caucasus, Central Asia, Europe, and China," notes Larisa Mevkh, Director of AsstrA Georgia.
The opening of Tbilisi Dry Port provides AsstrA's customers with a number of advantages:
- access to new multimodal infrastructure on the China-Europe route;
- direct connection to rail and sea chains via Tbilisi;
- flexible routes with access to the ports of Batumi, Poti, Baku, and Caspian logistics hubs;
- opportunities to optimize delivery times and reduce logistics costs.
“The port opens up new opportunities for the development of stable and scalable container solutions for AsstrA. We are seeing growing customer interest in efficient routes, and the new port will be an additional tool for optimizing logistics in the Middle Corridor,” shares Elena Vasilyeva, Head of the Container Department for Central Asia and the Caucasus at AsstrA.
AsstrA is actively expanding its presence in Georgia and developing modern logistics solutions for customers in Central Asia, the Caucasus and Europe.
