The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), in cooperation with experts from the international logistics provider AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG, has delivered a tailored training program for the Silleno team, which is implementing a strategic polyethylene production project in the Atyrau Region.
The course was designed to enhance practical competencies in international project logistics and foreign trade operations. Against the backdrop of growing demands for speed, sustainability, and transparency in logistics, the program helped participants structure their knowledge, acquire actionable tools for day-to-day operations, and strengthen collaboration with logistics partners.
The training covered the following topics:
- Specifics of rail and road transportation in Kazakhstan;
- International transport routes: maritime, air, road, and rail;
- Multimodal supply chain solutions;
- International regulations and standards (INCOTERMS, contractual relations, risk and safety management);
- Documentation for international shipments: CMR, AWB, HBL, MBL, SMGS, CIM.
The trainers were AsstrA experts – Ramilya Akhmetova, General Manager of AsstrA in Kazakhstan, and Egor Lokhovinin, Team Leader of the Industrial Project Logistics Department. Their presentations were based on hands-on experience in implementing complex logistics projects in the industrial sector.
“Educational initiatives of this kind help professionals navigate the rapidly evolving logistics landscape. We are pleased to share our expertise to help improve processes and strengthen the resilience of supply chains,” said Ramilya Akhmetova.
“We focused on real-life case studies, including oversized cargo projects, and addressed key aspects of interaction between supply chain participants. I am confident that the insights gained will be valuable in the Silleno team’s daily operations,” added Egor Lokhovinin.
The training held in partnership with CILT provided AsstrA with the opportunity to share practical expertise and discuss real logistics cases with participants. This format enables customers to better understand the professional landscape, grasp key processes, and build more effective cooperation with logistics partners.
