AsstrA Chemical Logistics: From Finland to Kazakhstan

15.12.2025

Transporting chemical cargo requires precision, control, and a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements. The AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG team arranged a road delivery of ADR-class paint and coating products from Finland to Kazakhstan, once again demonstrating the company’s reliability and expertise in handling dangerous goods.

The shipment followed the route from Vantaa (Finland) to Almaty (Kazakhstan) with transshipment in Vilnius (Lithuania). The total cargo weight exceeded 18 tons. Despite the multi-stage route and the sensitive nature of the goods, the delivery was completed exactly on schedule and in full compliance with ADR regulations.

During the transportation process, it became necessary to urgently coordinate an accompanying letter. Together with the client, AsstrA specialists promptly developed a new document template, which has now been added to the standard documentation package for similar shipments. This solution will help shorten future processing times.

The project was executed with the involvement of AsstrA Italy, the Nordic & Balkans – CIS Division, and the Western Europe – Baltics Division. Cross-regional coordination ensures fast decision-making and strict control of technical procedures during transshipment, which has become a measurable indicator of logistics quality.

“Every new route is an opportunity to evaluate the efficiency of our processes. When a non-standard situation helps improve internal procedures, it strengthens the confidence of both the team and the client,” notes Anna Dovnar, Trade Lane Manager at AsstrA.

“For us, each shipment is more than transportation — it is a part of long-term partnership development. We build our processes so that the client sees stability, predictability, and professionalism at every stage,” says Katerina Borovenskaya, Head of Italy, Nordic & Balkans – CIS Division.

It is worth highlighting that following the first transportation, the client sent a letter of appreciation, acknowledging the high professionalism of the AsstrA team. Such feedback confirms the effectiveness of the implemented solutions and the quality of cross-regional collaboration.

As an international group of companies, AsstrA has been ensuring uninterrupted transport links between Europe and Central Asia for many years. For the team, these routes represent more than just geography — they reflect a well-established system of interaction between offices, experts, and partners, united by common standards of quality and safety.

Each project — whether involving chemical or industrial cargo — reaffirms AsstrA's ability to adapt global logistics solutions to the requirements of specific markets.
