The international logistics group AsstrA arranged the transportation of innovative fitness equipment from Switzerland to Uzbekistan for demonstration at Swiss Days, a business event organized by the Embassy of Switzerland in Uzbekistan. Following the event, the equipment was safely returned to the shipper.

The shipment was notable for its technological complexity and non-standard design. At the planning stage, the exact dimensions and weight of the cargo were not yet available, requiring a highly flexible and adaptive logistics approach.

Transportation was executed using a multimodal solution:

• Road transport: the equipment was collected from the shipper’s facility in Switzerland and delivered to the air cargo hub in Leipzig (Germany). Specialized vehicles adapted for non-standard cargo were used during loading.
• Air freight: from Leipzig (Germany), the equipment was transported to Tashkent (Uzbekistan). The departure airport was selected for its 24/7 cargo handling capabilities and efficient flight confirmation procedures.

The total transit time amounted to six days, including the packaging of the equipment carried out by the shipper.

The project was jointly managed by AsstrA’s Express Delivery and Air Freight divisions, ensuring end-to-end coordination and full control of the shipment at every stage of the route.

The equipment is interactive and highly innovative, which required us to design the route with maximum flexibility, carefully considering every stage from packaging to air transportation. Our goal was not merely to deliver the cargo, but to do so with precision and accountability, ensuring the equipment arrived on time and in perfect condition.
