AsstrA Delivers Heavy Industrial Equipment from China to South Korea in 2 Days

16.04.2026

International transport and logistics company AsstrA successfully completed the delivery of heavy industrial equipment components from China to South Korea in just two days, despite peak pressure on transport infrastructure ahead of the holiday period.

The shipment included two units of equipment weighing over 40 tons each. One of the units, weighing 45.5 tons, required direct loading onto the vessel using a specially engineered handling and stowage plan.

The logistics solution involved cargo pick-up from a manufacturing site in Wuxi, road transportation to Changshu Port and followed by sea shipment to Busan.

A key factor in the project’s success was the advanced planning of loading operations. AsstrA experts, in close coordination with the Changshu terminal, pre-approved the stowage and securing plan prior to the vessel’s arrival. This ensured seamless loading operations without berth waiting time and helped avoid additional costs.

The project was executed within tight deadlines: the quotation was prepared on the day of request, and cargo pick-up was arranged over the weekend. During road transportation, the equipment was protected with tarpaulin covering.

“It was essential not only to meet the deadline, but also to ensure a stable shipment ahead of the holiday period. Thanks to precise coordination with the terminal, we were able to avoid delays and complete the shipment as scheduled,” comments Jihong (Valerie) Zhang, OOG/HL Specialist, AsstrA IPL China Division.

This project once again demonstrates that in heavy and oversized cargo logistics, critical decisions are made at the planning stage. In this case, a well-structured loading strategy ensured timely execution without operational delays.
