Autumn is traditionally considered as a productive period for business. Thoughts about the upcoming vacation are replaced by ambitious business ideas and plans for their implementation. The beginning of autumn was also «plenteous» for AsstrA office in Almaty.
From September 18 to 20, 2019 the largest in Central Asia exhibition and conference of transport and logistics services "Transport and Logistics" TransKazakhstan/Translogostica 2019 was held. 96 companies from 12 countries participated in the event this year.
AsstrA experts also attended this event. Margarita Dyadyaeva, Head of AsstrA Almaty Branch, shares her impressions of the exhibition: «TransKazakhstan is a key event for the region’s logistics. During the exhibition, the AsstrA team held a series of meetings with Customers and Partners from Kazakhstan, China, Türkiye and Lithuania; our experts discussed current working moments and outlined the prospects for further cooperation.
For the second year in a row, the business program of the exhibition remains interesting, including "Transport and Logistics Market" conference. The development of logistics infrastructure and the transport industry are discussed at this conference. In addition, participants appreciated the improvement of the regulatory framework, exchanged views on digitalization, and also discussed trends in the container transport market.
Another significant event for the region took place in September: a new lubricant plant "Lukoil" was launched in the Almaty region. This is a leading enterprise in the industry in the CIS. The range of products includes over 800 types of oils.
The opening ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, President of PJSC LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov, Akim of Almaty region Amandyk Batalov. Representatives of the AsstrA group of companies were also invited to the grand opening.
«Opening a plant of this level is a positive moment for the region. The new plant will work both for the domestic market and for export. From the point of view of the logistics partner of the project, the location near the “Western Europe - Western China” transport artery is also very good.
In addition, a new plant means new jobs, as well as modern equipment, guaranteeing no environmental risks and following the strategy of transition from the raw material orientation of production to the production of deep processing products»,–- says Margarita Dyadyaeva.
