At the end of 2024, on December 30, AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG successfully delivered 35 pallets of pharmaceutical air cargo from Istanbul, Turkey, to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The total freight weight was 9,900 kg. This type of cargo is typically shipped in batches — for example, 20 pallets on one flight and the remaining 15 on subsequent flights.
Although no special conditions or temperature control were required, the shipment was urgent as it needed to arrive at a specific location on a specific date. AsstrA’s experts closely coordinated with the airline and managed to deliver the entire cargo on a single flight. This was a significant challenge for the AsstrA team, especially given the busy period at the end of the year.
“AsstrA has been working with this client for exactly one year. The biggest challenge was the timing. As you know, during this period, airlines are extremely busy due to New Year's Eve, and prices increase significantly. Despite this, we managed to secure the shipment without any delays, offering a very competitive price compared to other companies. We delivered the pharmaceutical air cargo from Turkey to Ethiopia on time and without any issues, even under these challenging conditions.
