AsstrA Logistics Business Brunch: Logistics in a Time of Transformation

27.05.2026

The AsstrA Logistics Business Brunch was held for the third time in Almaty – an expert platform that brings together clients, partners and logistics industry experts for an open professional dialogue.

This year’s topic was “Logistics in a Time of Transformation.” Participants discussed key market changes: the restructuring of transport routes, stricter regulatory requirements, the growing impact of risks on supply chains, and the need for more flexible management of logistics processes.

The event format was built around live dialogue. Participants asked practical operational questions ranging from transportation organization and route selection to customs clearance and regulatory changes in Kazakhstan. AsstrA experts shared solutions and approaches relevant to current market conditions.

Ramilya Akhmetova, Country General Manager of AsstrA in Kazakhstan, presented an overview of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TCITR), highlighting its current capabilities, limitations and factors affecting the stability of shipments.

Ekaterina Kim, Team Leader of Kazakhstan Focus Country Division, AsstrA, presented an overview of the situation on the China-Kazakhstan route. The focus was on current market challenges: infrastructure overload, rising transportation costs and changing carrier requirements. Practical approaches to organizing shipments in an unstable market were also discussed, ranging from flexible planning to the use of combined logistics solutions.

Anvar Khamitov, Team Leader of Kazakhstan Customs Service, AsstrA, presented an overview of changes in customs regulation and foreign economic activity, including the implementation of the KEDEN National Information Platform, the launch of the NTIN National Commodity Catalog, and the tightening of export controls. These changes are already having a direct impact on customs clearance processes and companies’ operational activities.

Guest expert Rustem Bissaliyev spoke on the topic “Logistics in Transformation: Why Systems Matter More Than Routes,” emphasizing that the industry is gradually shifting from managing individual routes to building sustainable logistics systems.

Representing AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG at the event were Dmitry Lagun, CEO, Sergey Omelyanuk, Chief Operating Officer, and the AsstrA sales team in Kazakhstan.

The AsstrA Logistics Business Brunch continues to evolve as a professional platform where participants discuss key market changes, exchange practical experience, and find solutions for sustainable and flexible logistics.
