AsstrA Supports Major Polypropylene Plant Construction Project in Türkiye with Integrated Logistics Solutions

14.07.2026

AsstrA  continues to strengthen its position in industrial project logistics by supporting the construction of one of Türkiye’s largest petrochemical investments — a new polypropylene production complex valued at approximately USD 2 billion.

The project includes the construction of a polypropylene plant and the dedicated marine terminal located in Ceyhan/Adana. Since the first logistics nominations were awarded in August 2025, AsstrA has been providing comprehensive transport solutions for equipment and construction materials sourced from multiple countries.

The first shipments included more than 2,800 CBM of pipes transported from China via breakbulk vessels and 87 containers delivered from South Korea. While the Chinese scope covered a complete door-to-door solution, shipments from Korea included ocean transportation to Mersin Port. Cargoes were subsequently delivered to the project site in southern Türkiye.

As the project developed, AsstrA successfully expanded its involvement beyond the initial shipments. Today, the company manages a broad range of transportation services, including containerized cargo, oversized equipment transported on flat racks, breakbulk shipments, air freight, and domestic deliveries within Türkiye. 300 containers have already been handled, while the total logistics turnover has exceeded EUR 1.6 million for container operations alone.

The project has required flexible logistics planning due to global supply chain disruptions, including Red Sea shipping restrictions and regional geopolitical developments affecting transit times. Despite these challenges, AsstrA has maintained reliable operations by combining international transport expertise with close coordination between regional teams.

The logistics network supporting the project spans China, South Korea, India, Türkiye, Italy, Spain and other European countries. Specialists from multiple AsstrA offices work together to coordinate quotations, transport execution, documentation, customs procedures and final deliveries to the construction site.

“Industrial megaprojects require much more than transportation capacity. Success depends on close cooperation between international teams, transparent communication with the customer, and the ability to quickly adapt to changing project requirements. This project demonstrates how coordinated work across several countries allows us to deliver reliable logistics solutions even under challenging market conditions,” says Max Platonov, Key Account Manager at AsstrA.

The customer relationship has been developing for more than a decade across multiple international investment projects in Europe and the Middle East. Building on this long-term cooperation, AsstrA continues to support new industrial developments with integrated logistics services tailored to complex engineering and construction projects.
