New vehicles available to ship industrial gases in Russia, Europe, and the CIS.
As part of the ongoing development of its Industrial Gas Logistics Division, AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG had added 6 new Scania R400 tractors to its dedicated gas transportation fleet, which now includes 70 vehicles.
"We have been transporting industrial gases since 2012. Oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and hydrogen – which are used in the metallurgy, medicine, food and chemical industries – are most frequently shipped. We primarily use our own fleet to transport such specialized cargoes. Technical gases are class 2 dangerous goods requiring the involvement of highly qualified drivers and reliable equipment,” says Oleg Grebenko, Deputy Director of Special Transport Operations Management at AsstrA. “Each year, our traffic volumes in this sector grow by at least 25%. To keep up with demand we needed to lease additional vehicles."
The AsstrA Industrial Gas Logistics Division had a turnover of 4.5 million euros in 2017. The team executed about 10 thousand orders for the domestic and international delivery of gases in cylinders and tanks.
