On October 24, 2019, the “AsstrA International Forum: Development Solutions for the Transport Business” was held in Minsk. This is the premier event for CIS transport companies in the CIS countries. It was organized by the AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG international corporate group.
The purpose of the Forum is to develop fruitful cooperation between AsstrA and the company’s transport partners.
At one site, the event brought together more than 50 professionals including directors, top managers, and leading representatives of Belarusian, Ukrainiain, and Russian transport companies.
“AsstrA has made it a priority to expand and deepen our business relations with transport partners. AsstrA is open to dialogues and cooperation. It is important to note that the format of the event was a success and offered a good path forward that our team of experts will continue to follow,” says Denis Gural, Chief Operating Officer at AsstrA.
The Forum program included a discussion of current market issues related to operational management, transportation security, and load planning. Issues related to customs escorts, cargo insurance and transport risk management were also raised. Partners participated in a panel discussion and exchanged views and comments with AsstrA representatives.
During the Forum, representatives of transport companies got acquainted with AsstrA Supply Chain Visibility, an innovative project designed to provide transport transparency, a remote control system for vehicle movement, and more.
Forum participants paid particular attention to discussing “Supplier’s Portal,” a service that takes advantage of modern technology to optimize providers’ workflows. The service was demonstrated by an external user interacting with the online tool.
“New times and technologies require updated relationship structures between trucking companies, enterprises, and freight forwarders. New technologies and ways of working schemes are becoming more widespread. This requires changing the parameters of cooperation and forms of interaction. I believe the company we will be able to chart the right course over the next 20 years,” says Dmitrij Lagun, AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG Chief Executive Officer.
Forum participants highly appreciated the program’s agenda. During the day, AsstrA transport and logistics professionals shared their experience, knowledge, and development prospects with representatives of partner companies.
