From 5-7 November this year, International Transport and Logistics Exhibition VII was held in Warsaw. TransLogistica Poland 2019 is a key event in the transport and logistics industry in Poland. The seventh edition of the expo brought together 285 exhibitors and 8,100 visitors. Statistically, the 2019 edition far outshone last year's. As in previous years, the AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG international corporate group had its own booth at the exhibition.
“The TransLogistica Poland exhibition, like in years before, was very well organized. An interesting trend is the growing number of companies from related market segments. These companies offer value added solutions in the logistics industry like IT innovation, consulting services, financial tools, fuel cards, and currency exchanges,” says Andrej Iwanow-Kolakowski, AsstrA Director of the EU Countries Region.
“Also noteworthy was the impressive number of representatives of digital expeditors. Will these companies fully replace traditional transport and logistics competitors? Or is it just a passing fad? Time will tell.”
According to Grzegorz Zdybel, AsstrA Trade Lane Manager, every year the exhibition gets better at reflecting market trends. This is evidenced by the presence of carriers from China, representatives of domestic terminals, and companies that specialize in intermodal transportation and associated consulting.
“An exhibition is an opportunity to establish contacts and find specialists to solve complex transport and logistics problems that require extra work with cargo. Services like transshipment, temporary storage, stickering, or acting as a distributor, agent, or importer / exporter of record often seem “hidden” if they are not in a company’s core competencies. That’s why you should find out about the services provided and visit as many exhibitors as possible,” says Grzegorz Zdybel.
In addition to building a company’s brand awareness via its stand, the exhibition is an opportunity for attending conferences and discussion panels.
“This year the TransLogistica exhibition program was full of seminars and debates. The visitors were iparticularly nterested in a conference called “The Polish Hub on the New Silk Road - An Opportunity for the European Transport and Logistics Industry.” The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Investment and Development, Ministry of Infrastructure, and Ministry of Finance. No less important were the numerous forums concerning, for example, innovative solutions in the field of logistics or employment in the industry. There was something for every visitor,” says Malgorzata Matwiejuk, Head of AsstrA Customs Agency in Koroshchina.
In 2019, TransLogistica Poland offered a way to help those in need. The exhibition organizers joined the #TSLdzieciom charity event. The AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG corporate group supported the initiative. The AsstrA team auctioned a selection of souvenirs on Facebook. Every time the registered to participate in the exhibition, AsstrA employees and partners showed a special code that raised 10 zlotys for the charity.
This year, participation in TransLogistica Poland allowed the AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG corporate group to strengthen business relations and help those in need. Sometimes a little effort is enough to do something big.
