Successful business depends greatly on meetings that build or forge personal relationships, share information, and help recognize, create, and act upon new opportunities. The AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG international transportation and logistics corporate group is well aware of that principle and actively participates in industry events.
The spring was especially busy for the corporate group in Italy, where specialists from AsstrA Bergamo office and other branches took part in several important international events.
The first such event was MADE expo, an international architecture and the construction industry trade show which was held on March 13-16 in Fiera Milano, Rho, Italy. It is one of Europe’s most important trade show in this space – and Italy’s most important. This platform brings together new ideas and new products in the world of construction while generating high level contacts between buyers and suppliers.
Alberto Rota, Sales Specialist from AsstrA Italy, points out,
“Exhibitions like these are very useful and time-efficient for catching up with current Customers in order to strengthen collaboration. We were able to obtain large requests on the spot or within a few days afterwards – and therefore have good chances of building new business relationships quickly. Moreover, we were able to make good, friendly initial impressions on Customer without the formalities that typically accompany phone calls and emails.”
AsstrA specialists also attended the 8th edition of Made in Steel, held from 14th to 16th May 2019 in Rho, Milan - Southern Europe’s premier tradeshow for the steel industry. It is both a conference and an exhibition: the perfect balance between business and debate, hands-on operations and reflection. Held every two years, Made in Steel brings key steel industry players together under one roof – from producers to users – to take stock of where the sector is going.
Alberto Rota shares his opinion about this event,
“Our visit to Made in Steel was really fruitful. All the biggest metal industry companies were there in one place, and we could interact with their logistics managers in a way that is simply not possible via telephone. Face-to-face discussions are the most effective way to obtain detailed information about the Client's decision makers, destinations, needs, and requirements."
Nataliya Sheremetyeva, Senior Sales Specialist from AsstrA Italy, adds that the atmosphere at the exhibition was very friendly and conducive to discussions.
“Participants showed a great interest in AsstrA services. I was impressed especially by the Made In Steel exhibition, where the stands of the major players of the metallurgical industry were presented. Many of them were attended by logistics team members with whom we were happy to establish relationships. It was also possible to discuss new business opportunities with some of our current important Partners.”
Last but not least was the Industrial Valves Summit (IVS) held on May 22-23 in Bergamo. Held every two years, this event is intended to bring together all decision makers involved in the valve industry supply chain, valve technology, and flow control solutions. IVS provides a biennial forum where industry leaders can address technical issues, introduce pioneering technology, and share lessons learned.
Nataliya Sheremetyeva comments,
“Participation in the exhibition helped us to analyze market needs, understand our Partners’ businesses, and study market trends. Based on the information received, AsstrA team is working on developing of innovative logistics solutions that will allow to optimize and bring new benefits for AsstrA’ Clients.
I believe that attending exhibitions offers an amazing opportunity to create a good list of new opportunities. We have already started working with some Partners for whom AsstrA’s specialists proposed optimal delivery schemes. We are now exploring the opportunity to present AsstrA with own stand at one of the transport exhibitions in Italy.”
