This charity run was held under the auspices of BPS Sberbank this past June in the center of Brest, Belarus. The event’s program also included children's runs celebrating International Children's Day.
The Green Marathon is a way to enjoy a healthy lifestyle as well as lend a helping hand. Each participant or spectator could contribute towards providing complex medical treatments required by sick children.
The AsstrA Running Team – from the AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG international transportation and logistics corporate group – eagerly participated in this charity sporting event.
Evgenij Kulinkovich, Customs Clearance Specialist at AsstrA, notes,
“Both adults and teenagers tackled a symbolic “marathon” distance of 4.2 km. A distance of 420 m was provided for young runners aged 6 to 10 years. Over 700 participants, as well as fans with families, praised the organization of the race. Volunteers helped drivers search for parking spaces and conducted a warm-up before the race. Organizers stood alongside the designated track so that even tourists could run it without getting lost anywhere. Such charitable sporting events encourage people to get active and help those in need.”
