What is trust and how to earn it? What characterizes trust in business? Over the past ten years, researchers and society have paid close attention to understanding what makes for good business relations, successful partnership, and the role trust plays in both.
It is easy to build a business when the level of trust between team members reaches a sufficient level. Decisions are made consciously, projects are implemented punctually, support and mutual assistance pervade the team, and the business grows. In the logistics business, a company’s success depends directly on the quality of its services, the speed of its responses, the reliability of its deliveries, and the safety of the cargo it transports.
To maintain clients’ trust, the AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG international transport and logistics corporate group conducts regular audits on partner carriers. Thanks to such scheduled inspections, the company maintains the quality of transport services at the level required by consumers. In this way the company also monitors partners’ compliance with specific industry regulations and standards like SQAS for the transport of chemical products and GDP for the transport of pharmaceutical products.
"We have been running transport partner audits for more than 10 years. AsstrA customers can verify a certificate of compliance with the requirements for transportation of each type of cargo. To make that possible, we conduct regular, scrupulous inspections of contractors. The defining criteria we use are technical serviceability, corporate responsibility, and adequate protection for equipment, team safety, and the environment," says Vladislav Aleynikov, Head of Quality, Ecology and Occupational Safety at AsstrA.
Properly trained and certified AsstrA team members visit partner fleets personally to verify all necessary documentation and permits. This documentation includes APR certificates for food deliveries with isolated volumes, technical passports, licenses, etc. They inspect rolling stock and record the condition of the parking area with photos, videos, and report forms.
"Based on the audit results, a detailed report is generated for a transport contractor and a compliance score is given. After that, we decide whether to keep working with the contractor and how many orders to give him for which types of cargo. Today, AsstrA we work with more than 15,000 contractors. The audits are carried out regularly, but at the moment they are temporarily suspended due to the epidemiological situation. In the second half of March, we managed to audit a couple of carriers in Poland. After the end of the quarantine measures, we plan audits in Slovakia and Lithuania," adds Vladislav Aleynikov.
Our regular audits of our carriers help AsstrA customers be confident that their cargo is safe and shipped in accordance with good environmental standards and business principles.
