In the Belarusian transport and logistics services market, there are 8 professional associations and unions whose members are the country’s industry experts. A company’s membership in these “exclusive clubs” speaks to its good reputation, financial strength, and quality of services it delivers. For clients, a transport partner belonging to such an organization is proven to have a professional team providing reliable services.
In June of this year, AsstrA Belarus received the BAIF “2019 Forwarder of the Year” award in the “Best Multimodal Forwarder” category. The BAIF Association of International Freight Forwarders and Logistics, which includes over 50 participants, conducts the annual rating of Belarusian freight forwarders.
“BAIF is a non-profit organization that represents and promotes the interests of companies in the private and public sectors. As of 2019, 107 transport organizations are BAME members in Belarus. Since 2006, AsstrA Belarus has been an active member of the Association,” says Oleg Bykov, Director of AsstrA Belarus.
The advantages of BAIF membership include obtaining forwarding documents and representing companies from Belarus in the International Federation of Forwarding Associations (FIATA). FIATA is a global non-governmental organization with offices in 150 countries. FIATA has 41 members, including AsstrA Belarus.
“AsstrA Belarus is currently represented on the BAIF board. Gaining access to FIATA documentation enhances the company's competitiveness vs. other logistics market players. It helps customers to choose a trusted partner for future projects, as there is a direct confirmation of the provider’s competence both in its home country and abroad,” says Nikolaj Epikhov, International Road Transport Consultant at AsstrA.
Over the past 14 years, AsstrA Belarus has received 8 BAIF awards, 6 of which have been “Forwarder of the Year” recognitions.
