Air transport is considered the safest means of transporting goods. When transporting high-value goods, proper security protocols, clear deadlines, and competitive rates are highly valued. The AsstrA team faced a considerable challenge providing all three for a huge door-to-door air shipment of cosmetics products from the USA to Poland. Nevertheless, a cost-effective delivery option was found.
In July of this year, AsstrA experts helped a German customer deliver 15 tons of cargo from the US state of New Jersey to a recipient near the Polish city of Wroclaw. At the US airport, the goods were placed on 37 pallets and sent on a direct flight to Hahn airport in Germany.
After the cargo arrived in Germany, the customs agency issued a T1 transit declaration, which is necessary for the transit of cargo through the EU to Poland. The production cost of the goods was US $ 1 million. After the completion of customs procedures, the goods were loaded onto trucks at the airport and delivered by road to the destination in Poland.
Express delivery times, competitive rates, additional insurance, and the ability to use airports without transit zones distinguished AsstrA from competitors and guaranteed victory in the transport tender. Delivery of the goods from the United States to Poland, including customs clearance, was completed within 5 business days of receiving the order.

“From time to time, we receive transport requests that require non-standard solutions. AsstrA competes with major logistics market players in terms of transportation rates and quality of services provided,” says Nicole Statuch, an AsstrA expert from the Air Transportation Department.
“After receiving the request, the AsstrA team looked for creative transport options. Our teams connected with all kinds of contacts and were able to offer the client direct flights between the USA and Germany.”
When fulfilling the order, each participant in the transport chain knew his assigned role. The logistical challenge was to bring them all together. Each working day involved touching base with the client, customs agency, and transport company. As per best practices when transporting valuable goods, documentation was prepared in advance so that customs procedures would not delay the vehicle. The international transportation of this delicate and expensive cargo involved full oversight at every stage and confidential communication with all participants in the process.
