For years, AsstrA Italia has focused on improving processes, optimizing resource usage, and maintaining the safety of transported goods. The result of the team’s last Safety & Quality Assessment System (SQAS) audit confirms that they are continuing to meet the expectations of even the most demanding customers.
In addition to strong performance in all of the categories assessed during the audit, AsstrA Italia was particularly well recognized for how well the team manages risk and accountability as well as human resources.

“AsstrA Italia’s high score of 82% demonstrates that we follow best practices with respect to systems management, doing ethical business, and providing efficient, high-quality services. It is extremely important to us that safety rules are top-of-mind for our entire team. The chemical industry is particularly demanding, and our commitment to safety is one of the key ways we maintain our service standards,” notes Luba Zakharava, AsstrA Italia Branch Manager.
The audit covered nine operational areas and included detailed questions about, inter alia, processes related to the trade of chemical materials, especially those classified as dangerous to people and the environment. Business responsibility, HR, and procedures related to maintaining security and information flows were also emphasized.
SQAS audits are designed to verify the safety and quality of a company’s operational practices related to the trade chemical products, both inert and dangerous ones classed ADR, RID, ADN, or HCDG.
The SQAS was introduced in 1995 by the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC). SQAS audit results are valid for 3 years.
