Leap Year 2020, a year like no other, is over. The past year will be remembered for the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic that transformed everyday life all around the world.
The pandemic led to a wide range of restrictions and lifestyle changes that in turn gave rise to many innovative solutions. During 2020’s 366 days, people have moved into the digital world like never before. Organizers of traditional offline conferences, exhibitions, meetings and other events have begun to explore new models of interaction. The AsstrA Viva business conference in January 2021 was a good example. Every year at this event, the company summarizes its results from the past year, sets its direction for the coming year, and recognizes its top performers.

"Life has changed, and the annual conference could no longer be held in its usual offline format. It was necessary to come up with a fresh and innovative way to assemble a team from two dozen countries, unite its members online, and inspire them to make ambitious plans,” says Ekaterina Snegirova, Deputy SMD Director for Marketing. “To bring the team together in one place, the company used the Event.rocks platform to host 755 participants. Team members exchanged news, shared photos, and – most importantly – were able to follow the conference live."
The event’s Let's Go Digital, Let's Do Quality slogan was not chosen by chance. AsstrA’s priorities for 2021 will be transitioning towards providing higher-quality services and implementing digital products. As discussed and illustrated during the two-day conference, this quality-focused strategy will support the further development of the business in the coming years.
The AsstrA Viva 2021 agenda included guest presentations on logistics trends and emotional intelligence by a futurologist from the Copenhagen Institute for Future Studies (CIFS) and a Doctor of Psychology, respectively, as well as a number of thematic presentations by a dozen AsstrA specialists connecting remotely from around the world.

According to Dmitrij Pshenichnyj, Global Key Account Manager, the event’s new format was highly professional. “Modern communication technologies combined with our colleague’s creativity and enthusiasm made this event a sophisticated and memorable experience. Participants, both online and offline, interacted with speakers about topics that were of great interest to us all. It was total digital immersion."
More digitalization and higher quality will deliver greater convenience and benefits to AsstrA’s clients and transport partners. The events of 2020 accelerated the company’s transition to working online and demonstrated that the future belongs to those who master technology. AsstrA strives to improve service quality every day and is steadily working towards its goal of becoming one of Europe’s top 10 logistics providers.
