The World Cargo Alliance (WCA) is a prestigious, global organization of independent freight forwarders with over 9,000 offices in 193 countries around the world. In April 2021, the Polish branch of the AsstrA international corporate group joined the organization. Membership in this prestigious network will help the company continue providing sea and air logistics services tailored to customer requirements.
Joining the WCA is part of AsstrA’s strategy to develop new markets. The company aims to constantly expand its portfolio of transport services to help clients ship their cargo by sea and air anywhere in the world. WCAworld’s Global Medallion Plan ensures that companies receive financial peace of mind and top quality services whenever they are doing business with WCA members or their subcontractors on 6 continents.

“The WCA is open only to highly qualified and thoroughly vetted companies with proper insurance coverage and world-class business processes. In order to join this global network, we had to meet a long list of formal requirements and demonstrate a satisfactory approach to risk management. We plan to have our offices in Italy, Belgium, and Russia join the WCA in coming months as well,” shares Albert Kanke, Trade Lane Manager in AsstrA’s Western EU Container Division.
The WCA organizes an annual conference for its members to network one-on-one. Each member has the opportunity to build relationships with independent freight forwarders and transport and logistics industry leaders. Over 100,000 pre-arranged meetings take place during these conferences. At these events, members can discuss current trends and challenges in the global sea and air transport market. As a WCA member, AsstrA Polska is ideally positioned to provide clients with superior service and transport solutions meeting urgent delivery requirements.
“Through the WCAworld Academy, the organization provides members with educational resources and training courses designed to improve business efficiency. We will be using the knowledge we gain here to provide clients with cutting-edge transport solutions and minimize their logistics risks. We will also be working with WCA agents to facilitate deliveries to even the most unusual, hard-to-reach places,” concludes Albert Kanke.
