On April 17, 2021, the "Belovezhskaya Pushcha" National Park in Belarus finished the forest planting season with a charity event called "Let's Plant the Future Together." The event was organized by Kronospan FLLC with the support of other international participants. International transport and logistics company AsstrA was an official partner of the event.
It is worth noting that 2021 is a particularly important year for the Belarusian forestry industry, with significant efforts being devoted to improving forest crop quality. According to Vitaly Drozhzh, the Belarusian Minister of Forestry, 2021 will mark a turning point in the county’s reforestation.

“This charitable planting event for the forest was planned and held with the help and support of Alexander Burij, Director General of the "Belovezhskaya Pushcha" State Nature Protection Institute, and Vasily Filimonov, the park’s Chief Forester”, says Alice Krasochko-Orczyk Assistant of Development at Kronospan FLLC.
Top-quality seedlings – mostly for pine, birch, and spruce trees – from the national park's forest nursery were prepared for the event.
"Thanks to the teamwork of the national park’s staff, Kronospan, and other participants, 6,000 seedlings were planted across 1.7 hectares. Every year as part of the “Krono Drzewko” initiative, Kronospan organizes forest planting campaigns in the countries where the company has factories and offices,” adds Alice Krasochko-Orczyk.
To protect the long-term viability and sustainability of the forest's resources and to preserve the diversity of its flora and fauna, the Belovezhskaya Pushcha administration installed a fence to protect the young forest zone from wild animals.

"The volunteers will remember the early morning, new acquaintances, the forest tour, and of course the shared mission. The AsstrA team is delighted to have contributed to the greening of the forest. A commemorative stone was placed next to the young, growing forest. In the future, event participants and other visitors to the protected area can come to this place to see the results of the efforts we made together here,” shares Elena Zagorskaya, Sales Specialist in the AsstrA Wood and Paper Logistics Department.
Yulia Negodovich
According to Yulia Negodovich, an expert in the Wood and Paper Logistics Department, this was the first time AsstrA took part in such an event. "Despite the less than ideal weather, this event was a pleasant way to create practical value. We hope to see a full-fledged forest in a couple of years. The marker stone will serve as a reminder to posterity that a team from several countries came together here around this important cause. An event like this is a great way to act on your concern for the environment, restore natural resources, and build a better future for the planet we all call home.”
