International and domestic customs legislation is regularly supplemented with requirements aimed at reducing counterfeit products and ensuring the quality of delivered goods. These measures complicate the importation process and can lead to undesirable increases in the cost of the final product. In such situations, importers often turn to logistics providers for proven solutions.
Since February 2018, companies importing low-alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages into Russia and the other countries of the Eurasian Customs Union have faced mandatory cargo labeling requirements. In accordance with the Technical Regulations of the Eurasian Customs Union (TP CU 021/2011), imported products must have a label in Russian displaying information about the product, manufacturer, and importer.
For foreign manufacturers, complying with these customs regulations would require producing separate packaging for the Russian market. Such changes in the production cycle are not always economically justified, so it is often left to importers to apply the necessary information.

"After the entry into force of the requirements for mandatory labeling of imports, our customers often had difficulties delivering goods to Russia. The new market conditions revealed new demand for sticker solutions, so the AsstrA team began providing a fast and affordable service to help. Regardless of where cargo us handled, the AsstrA team provides customers with prompt marking services in full accordance with the requirements of Russian legislation," says Dmitry Naumkin, sales specialist.
- Marking services at AsstrA partner warehouses in Riga, Latvia
These warehouses are convenient for customers who deliver cargo in containers from ports in South or North America. This scheme is also suitable for auto or multimodal transport from European countries to recipients in Russia’s North-Western Federal District. Unloading is available in the warehouse, followed by the delivery of an empty container to the port. After marking, the cargo is taken out by trucks to the final recipients.
- Marking services at AsstrA's own warehouse in Blonie, Poland
The location of this warehouse in the central part of Poland is practical for cargo transportation by road from Europe to a destination in Russia. Deliveries from Italy, Spain, France, as well as the UK and Ireland often involve transshipment of cargo, so the AsstrA team is able to save customers time and money by combining the labeling and transshipment processes.
- Marking at the warehouses at the border crossing of Berestovitsa, Belarus
The products are marked in the customs excise warehouse, where the cost of the pasting procedure is lower than in European warehouses. It is possible to optimize customs payments due to the fact that the costs of finishing the goods is not included in their customs value because the finishing services were provided within the Eurasian Customs Union.
"It takes 2-3 days to sticker 40 thousand products (the average quantity in a truck). After unloading and receiving the products at the warehouse, we agree with the client how the labels should be designed and where they should be affixed. At the final stage, after the stickering, we provide the client with a photo report, " adds Dmitry Naumkin.
