On June 1, AsstrA Italia organized a company run. During lunch hours, a group of 6 team members ran a distance of 1 km through the streets of Trescore Balneario, near Bergamo.

“We decided to organize this race on the spur of the moment as a nice way to spend time together. We set the date and route and invited our friends to join in. AsstrA’s new “Happy. Healthy. Together.” program encourages all our teams around the world to lead healthy lifestyles, so this event fit right in with that,” emphasizes Iris Carbonara, AsstrA Italia Office Manager.

The route led through different streets of Trescore Balneario and ended near the office, where a finish line was set up to award the winner. There were also some small prizes for the top 3 finishers. The runners made things official with numbered vests displaying their names, nationalities, and sometimes funny quotes.

“Running is not my sport. My body is not designed for speed and dynamism. Even so, my colleagues and friends chose to do this race for fun and we had a great time together. Thanks to you all for making AsstrA a better place to work every day! Next time I hope to see more people, more fun, and more kilometers!” said Marco Casali, Italy Container Division Head.
