The AsstrA expert team successfully organized a complex shipment, delivering 20 tons of equipment from Uzbekistan to China. This project highlighted the importance of considering all logistical aspects and demonstrated how a competent approach can lead to significant savings – in this case, approximately $120,000.
The specifics of the project included the customer’s special requirements for customs clearance, which significantly affected the cost of delivery. AsstrA experts proposed an alternative route that reduced expenses without impacting the delivery timeline.
“The main challenge was the non-standard size of the cargo, which limited the number of airlines able to accept it. We carefully coordinated delivery dates with carriers and customs authorities, considering national holidays and the need for timely arrival in China. Ensuring a smooth transfer of the cargo for onward transit was crucial, as any delay could have resulted in significant storage costs at the airport,” shares Chunyan Liu, Head of Air Cargo China & Far East Division.
“The AsstrA team’s clear coordination and constant communication with the customer at every stage of transport allowed all tasks to be completed promptly and professionally. This ensured on-time delivery of the cargo and saved the customer approximately $120,000. This project was an outstanding demonstration of the AsstrA team’s competence and ability to solve even the most complex tasks,” says Anton Seychasov, Global Airfreight Manager.
