Intermodal transportation along the KR-UZ route continues to attract the attention of shippers. AsstrA actively develops and optimizes routes between Korea and Uzbekistan, offering clients enhanced delivery services.
"In response to growing demand, we are expanding intermodal transportation routes between Korea and Uzbekistan, updating existing ones and opening new ones. In collaboration with colleagues from the Rail freight division Tashkent, we have developed route options that pass through ports in the Far East and China. Depending on the client's needs, preferences, and cargo specifics, the AsstrA team adapts the route in terms of price and transit time," says Artem Gordin, Project Manager S.Korea & Head S.Korea container division.
AsstrA offers clients three routes that consider the most common requirements:
Sea route via the port of Vladivostok with subsequent rail transportation, estimated transit time 40 days.
Sea delivery via the port of Qingdao with further transportation by railway lines, estimated transit time 35 days.
Sea route via the port of Qingdao with subsequent automobile delivery, estimated transit time ~ 20 days.
"An example of successful implementation of intermodal transportation on this route is the project for delivering goods from South Korea to Andijan, Uzbekistan, for the automotive plant “Uz-Semyung". Taking into account the individual preferences of the customer, AsstrA organized logistics, utilizing both the most cost-effective and speed-efficient routes. Choosing the fast route through the port of Qingdao with subsequent auto delivery allowed us to halve transit time, while consolidating cargo in a single container with subsequent 'door-to-door' delivery ensured cargo safety throughout the journey," adds Artem Gordin.
The variety of routes, comprehensive approach to customer preferences, and delivery without reloading make intermodal transportation an efficient and reliable option for supply chain optimization. For expert consultation on logistics or rate calculation, please contact our team: korea@asstra.com.
